Electrochemical Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR, ESPR)

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technique allows to study the surface processes taking place at a gold layer on glass support and in the adjacent solution layer of approx. 400 nm thickness.

We are pleased to present an unique SPR instruments equipped with electrochemical cuvette. These instruments are capable to carry out experiments, in which the gold layer serves as a working electrode for simultaneous electrochemical experiment (electrochemical SPR - ESPR).

These instruments are mainly developed for research laboratories, where a wide control of the experimental parameters and the flexibility of designing of automated measurements sequences are essential.

Main areas of application of SPR technique are:

  • antigen-antibody interactions
  • surface modifications, including molecular monolayers
  • polymerisation and electropolymerisation
  • biosensors and DNA/RNA chips research
  • biocompatibility of coatings
  • kinetics of biomolecules interactions

SPR measurements can be combined with various electrochemical techniques, like e.g., cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

ESPRIT - a double-channel instrument for (electrochemical) SPR

SPRINGLE - a single-channel instrument for (electrochemical) SPR
